Hestercombe House, May 2021 Originally built in the 16th century, Hestercombe House (West Monkton, near Taunton, Somerset, England) is a historic, grade 2 listed, country house in the Quantock Hills. During the second world war, the house was used as the headquarters of the British 8th Corp, and later as an administrative centre for Somerset County Council, and an emergency call centre for the Somerset Fire Brigade. The house is surrounded by gardens laid out in the early 1900s by Gertrude Jekyll and Edwin Lutyens. Date: 27th May 2021.

The Church of St Mary, East Quantoxhead, May 2021 The Grade 2 listed, Anglican church of St Mary, in the village of East Quantoxhead (Somerset, England) was built in the 14th century on the site of an earlier church building. The church is adjacent to the Court House, home to the lords of the manor. Restoration work took place in the 17th and 19th centuries. Date: 26th May 2021.

Blue Anchor Station, May 2021 Blue Anchor Signal Box, Station Building and Level Crossing on the West Somerset Railway Line, which runs from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead (Somerset, England) and is the longest heritage railway line in England. Date: 26th May 2021.

East Quantoxhead, May 2021 East Quantoxhead is a small village in the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the county of Somerset, England. As well as the church and duck pond (pictured), the village has a manor house, a few thatched cottages, a medieval tithe barn, and a mill house. The village has no pub and no shops, but it does have its own beach just half a mile away. Date: 26th May 2021.

Riding along on the St Charles StreetCar when Loylola University came into sight. I was a little late pulling the cable to alert the driver for stopping. We rolled on by Loyola and then Tulane stopping at the next available streetcar stop. So we backtracked by foot under the shade of the live oaks and took in the beautiful sights. Marquette Hall, the oldest campus building of Loyola University was completed in 1910 and most all classes were conducted here until Bobet Hall was completed in 1920. It is one of the most prominent buildings on campus which serves as the iconic image of the university. The Communications/Music Complex of Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana is located on the corner of St. Charles and Calhoun Streets. One of the interior features is the Louis J. Roussel Performance Hall located on the second floor. The 589-seat hall can handle a full spectrum of performances from the solo recitals to the full symphony orchestra concerts.
