What’s in the box?!

Pandora's box is a Greek myth in which the existence of women and the various evils of the world are explained. It all starts when Zeus, the god of all gods, decided to devise a plan to turn against the boldness of Prometheus - who had given men the ability to control fire. As the box kept memories with the intention of always remembering them to the "owner", Pandora always felt sad. He tried to destroy the box to see if she would forget the fact, but it didn't work, the box was the result of a great spell, which prevented it from being destroyed. Pandora then, at age 36, killed herself.

In Greek mythology, Pandora is a pretty woman created from clay by Hephaestus. She is brought to Epimetheus by Hermes - including the ominous Pandora's Box. This drawing shows the beautiful Pandora opening the box and thereby releasing all the evils of the world.

Who doesn't want a box o' ghosts. I do!

That's right, "Pandora's Box" is a mistranslation, it was a jar of miseries she was given by meddling gods. If you are ever given one of these jars, don't open it.

This is an image of a watermelon in a mysterious Pandora box. It came to me to make this quote as life truly sometimes doesn't make any sense. But, then, when you take a look at all past events and you start putting pieces together, everything seems so divine, magical and righteous. Life is truly a magic and extraordinarily beautiful. Enjoy!

Pandora (1881) by Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema is a vintage Victorian Era fine art portrait painting featuring a beautiful woman holding a decorative urn by the ocean. In Greek mythology, Pandora was the first human woman created by the gods, specifically by Hephaestus and Athena on the instructions of Zeus. According to the myth, Pandora opened a pithos releasing all the evils of humanity and leaving only hope behind.
