During a long drive from Ontario to Colorado, we visited Buffalo Bill Cody's home (Scout's Rest Ranch) in North Platte, Nebraska. It wasn't on our planned itinerary but proved to be a truly fascinating place. This is an image of the house, taken from the east if I recall, It was a blustery kind of day, cool with threatening clouds. It did rain later, What I love about this image is the house standing so proud. It had recently been restored and looked so good painted white and trimmed with green. The house looked so comfortable, surrounded by trees and the turbulent, cloudy sky gives the image so much interest.

Oil painting, canvas on a stretcher. Varnished. Small courtyard on the shore of the warm sea. The white walls of the old house are buried in flowers. Open the gate and the sea is at your feet. Beautiful landscape.
