Pea grows in a pod and spreads through the ground with a very beautiful color in green. Then just peel and cook! Both dry and green are very healthy and good for the body.

Photographed in mid-winter is this close-up image of a cluster of milkweed seed pods, resembling a bird in flight. Illuminated by both direct & reflected sunlight from newly fallen snow, the feathery, gossamer-stranded seeds still cling to their graceful dried pods.

I took a photo while I was walking the dog - not sure what tree it is, but it drops these things onto the group - they are very spongy to walk on and I just liked the soft curvy look of them (although my friend said I should have called it "maggots" instead of nature's carpet).

Stars have been added to this dandelion clock to look like little jewels twinkling in the night.

A soft & golden-hued image of a large bed of burr-type seed pods of the wildflower known as teasel, photographed near the shoreline of Lake Ontario (one of the Great Lakes). With their delicate, somewhat feathery yet rustic appearance, the teasel seed pods make an eye-catching splash of shapes against the pale meadow grass in the background. Teasel has a fascinating history... According to Wikipedia, "...Fuller's Teasel (the cultivar group Dipsacus fullonum...) was formerly widely used in textile processing, providing a natural comb for cleaning, aligning and raising the nap on fabrics, particularly wool."
