I spent a lovely afternoon in the small Swiss town of Stein am Rhein near the German border. The colorful timber houses are typical of the region and the wine produced locally is a nice addition to the pleasures of spending a few leisurely hours in the area.

Bern, capital of Switzerland, has preserved its cosy quaintness. From the Nydegg-Bridge you get a wonderful view over the roofs of the city which form an intricate maze of tiles and chimneys.

Zurich is regarded as one of the most beautiful cities in the world due to its remarkable architecture, scenic lakeside location, meticulously preserved historical districts, and a thriving cultural atmosphere that captivates visitors and residents alike.
