MR PAINTED PEACOCK Long Sleeve T-Shirt

This beautiful species of butterfly I found most difficult to photograph purely because of the brilliance of irradiance and intense colour! Getting the capture just as I wanted to be represented in a slightly painted way yet remaining true to accuracy without the camera picking up every irregularity by the camera was quite tricky and so the angle of incidence of light became most critical. Luckily, this species was quite happy to sit there just basking in a mix of dappled shade and early evening sun and I waited for a shot where the tops of its wings captured by the light - just started to glow... Returning to look at the shots taken afterwards I noticed that my exposure wasn't adequate enough and so I have had to work quite heavi...
