Electrunk! The Marvel of the Age! Created by Professor Zilo Dog to help fight criminals too much for regular animals, Electrunk was was something of a robo-cop!

Don-Vin a.k.a. Hyper the Phenomenal was a young scientist under the employ of the United States government. He was allied with the Winifred, codenamed Agent 2Y, who served as an undercover operative of the U.S. Secret Service. His chest was protected by a plastron comprised of bulletproof fabric. Hyper's helmet had a built-in radio and, although heavy, somehow enabled him artificial flight.

Alan Armstrong was an expert pilot, a wealthy playboy, and the confidant of his fiancé Eve's father, Admiral Corby. The Admiral suspected that spies had infiltrated America and needed help, so Armstrong put on a costume and became the Spy Smasher. When WWII ended, he changed his name to Crime Smasher and shifted his focus towards fighting crime. Eve sometimes helps him since she knows his secret identity.

When Gary was a baby, his father, Charteris Preston, worked as a missionary in China. The elder Preston was washed away in a flood but managed to save baby Gary by placing him in a basket. The basket was washed downstream to Tibet, where Gary was rescued by a group of lamas. They raised Gary, and trained him in their mystical ways. Gary obtained the ability to control fire and heat. He can raise his own body temperature to the point where he can burst into flames or melt bullets. He can control and direct any flame in his presence. He can also teleport from place to place by appearing inside of any fire source, no matter how small.

Chuck Hardy was an American diver on a yawl called the "Research" off the island of Tahuata in the South Pacific. He was working with a woman named Jerry Peterson, on the ocean floor when the volcano on Tahuata erupted. Jerry and Chuck fell through a fissure into the strange subterranean world of Aquatania. The two of them made many friends and enemies in this land, as they quested for a way to get back home.

Billy Bounce was a young boy from an unnamed American small town which didn't have a whole lot of crime. He wanted to be a detective, but he wasn't terribly good at it. He was inept at interpreting clues, making disguises, and following leads. Billy made up for it with his unusual strength and sheer dumb luck. And to give the boy his credit, he kept trying to become a good detective no matter how often he screwed up.

Archie Masters was a timid, cautious astronomy professor who taught at Grand University. A colleague created a device called an atom smasher, but the initial test went awry when Masters, preoccupied in his thoughts went into the room where the device was being used. He was bathed in atomic radiation but instead of killing him, the accident endowed him with various superhuman abilities such as strength, flight and invulnerability. With his confidence boosted, he used these powers to fight crime as the American Crusader.

Some time in the late 1800s, a group of pioneers entered a secret valley where everything was several times the normal size. They were unable to find their way out, so they settled. While most of them seem to have died out, one of their children survived. Because he was born within the valley, he was as tall as everything else there. He stood about 15 feet high and possessed incredible strength, even for his gigantic size. He became known as Mighty Man.

This unnamed hero operated from underneath the 1939 New York World's Fair in an underground lab connected to an underground river. He guarded the Fair and fought those criminals and racketeers who threatened it. He later became known as "Fantoman." The Fantom was strong enough to bend gun barrels and also possessed great speed. He was also a skilled hypnotist and could tamper with people's memories.

Honey Blake, also known as the Blonde Bomber, was an ace newsreel camerawoman as well as an expert chemist who was involved in numerous strange adventures such as the stories Rocket Plane Mystery or Blood and Sharks' Teeth. Her sidekick and cameraman was Jimmy Slapso.

Marga the Panther Woman was raised by a group of black panthers and inoculated with their abilities such as superhuman strength and cat-like claws. She was a highly skilled fighter, hunter and athlete, capable of bending steel bars, punching out an elephant, or swinging a lion by its tail. She was at one time, aided by a former police dog named Homer. She eventually left the jungle to joins her aviator boyfriend Ted Grant on adventures.

Shorter than average Stubby Watson was the crime fighter known as the Blue Monk. The Blue Monk was assisted in his war on crime by three ex-crooks: Gypo, Scorpion, and the Human Fly, also a woman named Satana.

He has a blonde actress fiancee named Rita Wilson, who is far more popular than he is. Dennis is secretly the crime fighter known as the Menace, but Rita does not know of his dual life. The Menace has no super powers but is a skilled fighter; plus, he uses a variety of gadgets in his war against crime.

Private detective Rod Rooney had a reputation for solving impossible and bizarre crimes, and much to the dismay of the police force, he kept showing them up. For the most bizarre crimes, he did his investigating as the masked hero known as the Red Rogue. His only appearance was in a story entitled "The Murderer That Had No Feet."

Sam was just a 25 year old living in North Dakota, when he received a letter from his grandmother Suzy Muckles, a retired lion tamer. She told him he came from a long line of strong men performers. She wanted him to take over the family business, "He-Man, Inc," which was a school for physical and moral development. He-Man was said to have so many muscles, the only bone he had was in his head. He was strong enough to pick up a house.
