West Adams, historically, refers to a sub-region of Los Angeles centered along West Adams Boulevard. Today, it also refers to a newer neighborhood of South Los Angeles, also bisected by West Adams. Thus, this map is distinguished as "Historic West Adams."

Morningside Circle is a neighborhood in South Los Angeles's Westside. It was the first neighborhood I explored for my series, "California Fool's Gold," after turning over the decision on where to explore to the public. I did so in 2008. https://ericbrightwell.com/2008/09/25/morningside-circle/

Manchester Square is a neighborhood in South Los Angeles's Westside. It was home of the notorious Monster Cody and Grim Sleeper. On a lighter note, it's also home to Art's Chili Dog, established in 1939 and said by some to be the birthplace of the chili dog.

It's known for its diverse landscapes, ranging from rugged coastlines and sandy beaches to towering mountains and dense forests. Canterbury Knolls is a neighborhood on South Los Angeles's Westside. I explored, for my series, "California Fool's Gold," in 2014. The Islander, was a Hawaiian style, Tiki bar & restaurant in West Hollywood, Los Angeles. Famed for it’s mid-century modern A-frame architecture, bridge entry & flaming torches. Unfortunately this slice of Polynesian Style & 1960s Americana was demolished in the 1980s. But you can still celebrate it with this T-Shirt from ryte TRACK.
