A firecracker (cracker, noise maker, banger) is a small explosive device primarily designed to produce a large amount of noise, especially in the form of a loud bang, usually for celebration or entertainment; any visual effect is incidental to this goal. They have fuses, and are wrapped in a heavy paper casing to contain the explosive compound.

Golden Harvest encouraged Jackie to work with new directors, instead of handling those duties himself, in the hopes of speeding up shooting after the lengthy production of Chan's epic ARMOUR OF GOD II: OPERATION CONDOR in 1991. Stanley Tong was a stuntman-turned-director and he and Chan got along very well during the making of this third entry in Chan's POLICE STORY series. Jackie returned to his familiar HK cop role, but this time was paired with Maylasian beauty-queen-turned-action-actress Michelle Yeoh (freshly divorced and returning to filmmaking). Their wonderful chemistry, along with new shooting locations in Maylasia gave POLICE STORY III: SUPER COP a fresh feeling and went on to net Chan a "Best Actor" trophy at the 1993 Taiwanes...

Desperate to break away from the narrow-minded constraints of director Low Wei, Jackie signed a contract with Golden Harvest and poured his heart and soul into making THE YOUNG MASTER. Showcasing the kicks of Korean hapkido master Hwang In-Shik, Chan choreographed an epic one-on-one battle atop a mountain for the climatic confrontation. Jackie's "opera school" classmate Yuen Biao has a supporting role, as does Shih Kien (the villian from Bruce Lee's ENTER THE DRAGON). This is old school, high-energy, devil-may-care Jackie Chan kung fu at it's best.

The Chinese surname name 袁 is pronounced Yuen in Cantonese. It means "long robe".

In 1983, Jackie Chan teamed up with his two childhood Chinese Drama School "brothers" for what is considered the first of his true action comedy epics. Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao costar with Winnie Wong and professional villian Dick Wei in this non-stop action adventure, recalling the physical comedy of Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd.

This design is based on the Japanese poster for PROJECT A ,with several custom alterations including the replacement of all text and additional graphical elements that help highlight the "three brothers" (Jackie, Chan, Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao).

Sammo Hung directs, Yuen Biao does his acrobatic martial arts flips and kicks against Keith Vitali, while Jackie has a fist-to-fist battle with Benny "The Jet" Urquidez that is still considered one of the very best movie fights ever filmed. Sammo Hung abley handles directing duties, Yuen Biao does his acrobatic martial arts flips and kicks against Billy Chow, and slim and slimey Yuen Wah is memorable in another great villian role (similar to his recent EASTERN CONDORS role). Benny "The Jet" Urquidez returns from WHEELS ON MEALS for a climatic rematch with Jackie. DRAGONS FOREVER remains, at this point and probably forever, the final "Three Brothers" film.

I wanted to create a golden nugget in celebration of the lunar new year.

In 1978, after teaming up with Seasonal Films and director Yuen Woo Ping for the surprise hit, SNAKE IN THE EAGLE'S SHADOW, Jackie Chan worked again with the same creative team to produce the even bigger hit DRUNKEN MASTER. This "old school" classic, co-starring Yuen Siu-tien, Dean Shek, and amazing kicker Hwang Jang-lee showcases Jackie at his physical peak and has become a true classic of the kung fu genre.
