On my recent trip to Japan I was extremely inspired by the majesty of Mount Fuji! I decided to do "31 Views of Mt. Fuji" as my theme for this year's Inktober. All the paintings are done with Sumi Ink and are based on my photos that I took while in Japan ^-^ This first one is based on my favorite moment. We woke up to a perfectly clear view and immediately took the bus to the other side of the lake. We were rewarded with this magnificent view just as the clouds were perfectly surrounding the mountain and golden waves of grass waved in the wind. The lake was still, save for a slight warm breeze, hinting at the hot day to come!
