I started this collage of pieces of monoprints I had made using a gelli plate, with the intention of making it look like autumn leaves. However, when you look at it as well as seeing leaves, you could just as easily be looking at a school of colourful fish or looking down at a rainy street full of umbrellas.

Umbrellas in Space is one of a series of watercolour paintings I did with umbrellas as the main theme. I attempted to put them in as many situations as I could think of. This painting is my umbrella equivalent of a space ship and I really enjoyed doing it. The original sold immediately and I feel it is an interesting and quirky enough painting to appeal to anyone who likes things to do with outer space.

Umbrella Vortex is part of a series of watercolour paintings I undertook with umbrellas as the theme. In this painting I tried to capture umbrellas being swirled away on some circular wind into a worm hole like vortex. Just a bit of fun this one.
