Spitfire Mk.IX, 5J-K, Pilot Johnny Plagis. Johnny Plagis took command of No. 126 (Cat Gulf) Squadron in June 1944. He chose 5J-K because of the large letter “K” on its tail after his sister ‘Kay’ (Katrina) which was also painted on the port side. This is one of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight spitfires MK356, an LF IXe, representing Johnny Plagis' aircraft which was LM214 and an LF IXc.

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Concord's first commercial flights on January 21st 1976, I have created a set of illustrations depicting Concord from the first flight in 1969 through to the final flight in 2003. This image is of Air France Concorde F-BVFA, in 1988 it flew around the world in a record breaking (at the time) 41 hours 27 minutes. It can be seen on display in Chantilly, Virginia, USA.

Lockheed TriStar 500 Line Drawing perfectly capturing the lines of this airliner. The 200 and 500 were later variants of the TriStar, the 200 having the longer body and the 500 having the longer range. The TriStar also referred to as the L-1011 (L-ten eleven) was a medium-to-long-range, wide-body trijet airliner manufactured by the Lockheed Corporation between 1970 and 1984.
