This design is based on a beautiful painting by William-Adolphe Bouguereau. I really love that Shepherdess painting and wanted to do a homage in my style. Making the shepherdess a grim reaper figure tells a whole different story than the original… Makes it more sinister and macabre. I love the sheep and the innocence of the lamb and how weirdly peaceful the sheep looks while Death is taking away the lamb. I have to thank Bouguereau for painting such a wonderful communication between the figures, he truly was a great master.

Inspirational light from Above shines through as this lovely, brightly-colored gowned angel plays her melodious harp music to soothe the spirit. Orchid flowers flow down from her hair onto her gown.A little lamb at her feet feels the tranquility of the song. I named this painting, "Angel of Melody".
