I rarely do all black and white pieces, I do love color, but from time to time it is really appealing to me. In this case, "Tusk" satisfies my visual need for some kind of chaos!

It is difficult to get the scale of this peak. If you look closely, there are trees in the foreground which will give you some indication of the size. The Black Tusk at 2,319 m (7,608 ft) above sea level, is the remnant of a volcano. It was a great week for lots of fresh snow at Whistler, BC, Canada. But that made photography quite difficult. However, on this day the sun came out, albeit briefly, and it was the first sighting this week of that spectacular volcanic remnant, The Black Tusk. Shortly after this photo was taken the clouds rolled in again and that was the end of any distant photography!
