A Pair of Moggies Number of views as of 5th December 2017 = 960. According to some, the Morris Minor (affectionately known as the Moggie Minor) has been described as typifying "Englishness". Certainly it was one of the most successful British cars ever built and remained in production from 1948 to 1971, in which time over 1.3 million rolled off the line at Cowley, in Oxfordshire. The lead designer was Sir Alec Issigonis, who received his knighthood for the design of another motoring icon, the Mini. The Minor was available in 2 door or 4 door saloon models. Pavilion Fountain Number of views as of 9th October 2018 = 590. Some might say that this shot is a little too 'busy', and the daffodils are definitely past their best, but the tulips, palms and buildings in the background make for an interesting composition and mix of colours, so here goes... By the way, it's Bournemouth not Barcelona! The fountain is outside the Pavilion Theatre, and across the road is the former Odeon Cinema. Date: 26th April 2009. Storm over the Needles Number of views as of 9th June 2019 = 590. A view from Southbourne beach, east of Bournemouth (Dorset, England) with some threatening weather lurking over the Needles on the Isle of Wight. Date: 23rd March 2008.

St John's Moordown Number of views as of 13th March 2018 = 500. St John's Church, Moordown, Bournemouth, Dorset. The building of the church began in 1873 and it was completed ready for consecration on April 14th 1874. The architect was G.E.Street, who was well known for his Church designs in Victorian times. The last structural addition was the tower, added in 1923. It houses eight fixed bells, cast at a cost of £301. Unusually, the orientation of the church is north-south, rather than east-west, with the tower at the southern end. Date: 10th April 2008. Click here to see another of Bournemouth's churches

Pier, Poole Bay & Purbecks, October 2020 A shot of Bournemouth pier, taken from the East Cliff, with Poole Bay beyond and the hills of the Isle of Purbeck in the distance. Note the absence of people on the beach. At times during the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic, the beaches were packed. Now, the beaches are almost deserted, yet cases in the area are on the increase. Any scientists who can explain that one, please do! Date: 15th October 2020. Location: Bournemouth, Dorset, England.

Puck's Dell, North Bournemouth, February 2021 Puck's Dell is a small area of woodland in North Bournemouth (Dorset, England). It forms part of "Gulliver's Trail", a circular walk around the area named after the notorious 18th century smuggler, Isaac Gulliver. Date: 12th February 2021.

The Beach Shack on the 'prom' west of the town's pier was intended to bring a 'Caribbean surf shack aesthetic' to this stretch of the seafront. The cliff lift carries passengers between the beach & the Highcliff Marriott Hotel. Neither are open in January. However, the places that do open their doors throughout the winter months can do pretty well as many locals prefer to visit the beach at this time of the year.
