The Coastline Conference and Event Center, a convention center in Wilmington, North Carolina, was constructed in the late 19th century for the Atlantic Coastline Railroad (ACL) and was used as its headquarters from the early 1900s to 1960s. During that time, ACL was the largest employer and contributor to the area's economic growth. The restoration and conversion of the ACL to the Coastline Conference and Event Center began in 1989 and was completed while still preserving the historic character of the building. As the transformation occurred, attention to detail was taken as Coastline Conference and Event Center became the ideal wedding venue and conference space for many successful contemporary events. A brilliant blue glass office building, almost abstract in its design

Walking the streets just outside of Versailles I came across this interesting building that is slated for demolition. The combination of lines, angles and textures just made for interesting photographic subject. All images are taken with a Canon 5D III (full frame) and a Canon 7D II (crop frame) using a variety of Canon L-Series lenses, and Tamron and Sigma pro-line lenses; processed in RAW with ACR, PSC, Photomatix, and a variety of other imaging software. Caxa Real is a building that is situated in the San Francisco neighborhood one block east of the Municipal City Hall in the City of Comayagua, Honduras (featured in one of my other images of Comayagua). Caxa Real is a brick-and-coral-colored building that is dedicated to social, cultural, educational and business events. It was built between 1739 and 1741 to store all tributes to the Spanish crown, including gold and silver. In addition, bars of gold, plaster and silver were cast on this property (then called Casa de la Moneda) and further moved to Guatemala, which was the then Central American capital to Spain.
