There are many different kinds of domesticated rabbits, they have been popular family pets for centuries. Domestic bunnies are NOT wild rabbits and visa versa. Rabbits raised as pets will not survive in the wild and should not be released. If you find you can't care for your bun, finding it a new keeper or giving it to a domesticated rabbit rescue is the best option.
