Lincoln Cathedral And Magna Carta From Castle Square Taken from castle square in the stunning city of Lincoln in the county of Lincolnshire, UK, England. The light was perfect on this particular day and all the surrounding buildings were at their best. There is so much history at this end of the city but may involve a challenging walk up Steep Hill to get here.

Lincoln Cathedral Lights At Night Taken at Christmas time as you can tell by the Christmas trees outside the Magna Carta pub on the right. Lincoln Cathedral has many other names and it can be referred to as Lincoln Minster, or the Cathedral Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Lincoln and often St Mary's Cathedral. It is situated at the top of Steep Hill in Lincoln, England and is the seat of the Anglican Bishop of Lincoln. From Tammy Meets Willim Tell ( The Wurtherington Diary book 5) Art by Duy Truong. A gentle breeze blew from the west. It would not last long as angry clouds were billowing over the mountain peaks. William Tell took careful aim.... He tested the air once again and then focused upon the apple. He released the latch and the arrow sailed across the square and split the apple in half. Walter picked up the two halves and ran into the arms of his father. The villagers embraced one another and cheered as their prayers had been answered.

Lincoln Cathedral, is a Grade I listed cathedral and is the seat of the Anglican Bishop of Lincoln. The cobbled area to the west is called Castle Square.

Otherwise the Magna Carta would never exist and the concept of freedom would disappear forever.... I said, "Good Barons of England, as you discuss your concerns, I will scribe for you." She meets Baron Robin Fitzwalter (later known as Robin Hood) in time to see Baynard's Castle torched by King John. Robin comforts his daughter Matilda while the Castle burns in the night. I was in tears with all that had happened so quickly. Alfred and the others comforted me as best they could. I could hear the others making plans. The knights would gather at a meeting place and decide what to do. All the servants would go to relatives in London Town. They explained that London was filled with refugees from burnt-out lands. This is an image of the west facade of Salisbury Cathedral What a place; enormous in scale and divine in its decoration. This is a place that was built during the 13th century, so that's about 750–800 years ago. The spire is the tallest of any church in England with a height of 404 feet. I must admit that I really enjoy photographing old cathedrals; they have a majesty that is quite sublime. What gets me is the depth of faith that the people who toiled to build such a place must have had. Many would have probably worked on such a place all their working lives. A couple of interesting facts about the cathedral, because I've seem them, are it houses one of the four remaining copies of the Magna Carta and the world's oldest working cloc...
