West Montrose Covered Bridge, also known as the "Kissing Bridge" in Waterloo Region of Ontario. Built in 1881, it is the last remaining covered bridge in Ontario and spans 205 feet across the Grand River. Locals driving their horse and buggy rigs began to call the structure the "kissing bridge", as a kiss (in relative privacy inside the bridge) was required as a toll to cross it.
