It is a Moon, but with a skull. Because skulls are cool. I think this Moon Skull design looks cool on it’s own, so I added this simple version, without all the usual geometric stuff…

This is actually a very common design, and I wanted to take a shot doing it in my art style. It is two things I absolutely love using in my designs – a human skull and crescent moon. When I think about it, I can’t believe I haven’t done this before! As usual, I went for a gothic, macabre, grim kinda vibe, with my geometric shapes and moon phases incorporated in the design. I hope you like this version of the skull moon motive. Thanks for looking!

This is my render of THE MAGICIAN, a very cool Tarot card with a beautiful meaning. I have kept some of the classic symbolism, like the snake belt, the infinity symbol, the sword and pentacles... I just made it weirder and more "my own". This card suggests you should use your will power, strength and intelligence to move forward and take action instead of holding yourself back. Determination is the key!

Just three skulls that grew some black crystals... and now they're floating in space on a crescent moon because that is what moon skulls do. Duh.

Did you know that mermaids in most folk tales are not happy singing half-girl-half-fish, but actually monsters? Cool, huh? Mermaids appear in the folklore of many cultures worldwide. The first stories appeared in ancient Assyria, in which the goddess Atargatis transformed herself into a mermaid out of shame for accidentally killing her human lover. Mermaids are sometimes associated with perilous events such as floods, storms, shipwrecks, and drownings. Mermaids appear in British folklore as unlucky omens, both foretelling disaster and provoking it. That is why I tried to show my mermaid as beautiful, but dark and dangerous looking, she has tentacles for hair and horns. I imagined her being very connected to the Moon...

CHOOSE A DARK COLOR (everything you see here as black is transparent on the design) It’s hard to make ends meet nowadays. Even the Reaper had to get a second job, as a gravedigger. Indian ink and ecolines on 300g watercolor paper.
