A traditional dance seen throughout the month of May in England is Morris Dancing. It is a traditional English form of folk dancing, performed by groups of men or women. The name may refer to the possibility of the form of dancing coming to England from the Moors of North Africa; or it may have been called 'Moor-ish' simply because the dancers sometimes painted their faces black, and people compared this to the dark-skinned Moors. These clogs are my own pair which I wear for step clogging. This traditional English style of clogging originates from the cotton mills during the Industrial Revolution. I drew them in my A5 sketch book using a range of pens and after scanning them I enhanced them with colour on my computer.
