This was the first version of my Doctor Weave. I got the idea of the second version just as I was finishing this one.

Paul McGann only played the Doctor on screen twice - for the 1996 TV movie, which was made for an American audience by the Fox Network, and a mini-episode called the 'Night of the Doctor' prior to the 50th Anniversary episode. Fox wanted to use the TV movie as a pilot to launch the show in America but it didn't do well enough and Doctor Who remained in the the dark for another nine years. However, since the TV movie, McGann has voiced the role in over 80 audio plays produced by Big Finish Productions. I have been a fan of Doctor who since the 70s. Over the past few years i have done a series of Paintings from Space and time to pop art splat. This is part of the Pop Art series which is based on the swirl of the time vortex. The original painting that these images come from are much bigger and in a Wide screen style. To use these for T shirts etc I have cropped the design and modified them from my original paintings.
