It’s about owning one’s dignity and self-respect.

Designed to look like an uppity high-brow designer label, this is actually an altered quote from the excellent comedy Super Troopers. Actual quote is : "Desperation is a stinky colgne."

The word "uppity" has always been used by those in power to disparage people who are supposed to be marginalised and powerless but refuse to accept their place in the status quo. Given that history, shouldn't we all be "uppity"? It's time to reclaim the word and own it with pride.

Let's riot, my witches.
