I seem to have made somewhat of a collection within a collection- my 2021 Halloween series now has a few pieces that fall specifically under the 'Aussie Halloween' umbrella. This is one of those pieces- Doctor Bin Chicken- the worlds filthiest plague doctor!

The Australian Backyard isn't complete without an old tin shed, a caravan, a hills hoist and a magpie or two. Before they started pulling down old houses for the giant McMansions we had plenty of space to be outside. Its nostalgic, its the good old days in the Australian Backyard.

Whilst a little bit soggy, the rain really brought out the colours of this beautiful green rosella and the surrounding wattle seeds he was feasting on in the pouring rain.

These cheeky birds are nature's pruners (Secateurs) often revealed by the mess of trimmed greenery below them, not to mention the noise. I used this expressive style of painting to capture the cheeky personality of this bird.
