I caught this Sallow Wattle (Acacia Mucronata) in full burst at Hochkins Ridge Flora Reserve in Croydon North, Victoria, Australia.

Another from my walk along Mullum Mullum Creek - Black Wattle (Acacia Mearnsii). These flowers - and the foliage - look a lot like Silver Wattle (Acacia Dealbata), which flowers much earlier. The name comes from the tree trunks turning black as they age - not to be confused with Blackwood (Acacia Melanoxylon).

The national floral emblem of Australia, the Golden Wattle is a glorious sight in Spring. Its proper name is Acacia Pycnantha.

Silver Wattle is in flower all over Southern Victoria at this time of year, but this one was flowering in the rain beside Mullum Mullum Creek in Ringwood, Victoria.
