Willie Wagtail Magnets

The black and white Willie Wagtail is the largest, and most well-known, of the Australian fantails. They are found all across mainland Australia. Photo taken in Sydney on a Nikon Coolpix P610.

Meet Pete, the Pied Currawong and Wilma and Willie Wagtail. These three, were having a little neighbour dispute one lunchtime. I think Pete, was trying to steal from Wilma and Willies nest.

Australian Willy Wagtail, a visitor to most Australian backyards. They are a full of spunk and character and will brighten anyone’s day. Legend has it that a Willy Wagtail will bring good luck.

Original artwork is a watercolour sketch of a Willie Wagtail, a type of Fantail, native to Western Australia. The local aboriginal name for Willie Wagtail gives the derivation for the name Chittering, where I live. The blue Lechenaultia is a striking native plant, also endemic to the area.
