A small path leads invitingly through the English bluebells in this Durham woodland in Spring. The bluebells (hyancinthoides non-scripta) are indications of ancient woodland and with a blue sky ahead who could resit! The bluebells are at their best in May when this picture was taken.

We love going for family walks in the woods and if you are lucky in the spring in England you may even come across a forest of bluebells to delight you.

Wondering in a vibrant landscape of vivid leaves in the afternoon sunshine coupled with the seasonal breeze was soul-soothing. Spring was the typical favourite season to admire nature’s beauty due to its flowers but that Autumn afternoon was a mind changer. It makes one realise we actually have two colourful seasons of tranquillity to look forward to each year. LOCATION: King’s Wood is a forest located in Challock, a large village and civil parish in the Borough of Ashford, which is a part of the county of Kent commonly known as the Garden of England. United Kingdom.

The path through the Spring bluebells and other Spring flowers heads towards the dappled sunlight shining through the trees of Southwick Wood in Northamptonshire which is a remnant of Rockingham Forest, an old royal hunting forest. The wood has oak, ash, field maple and hazel trees.

It's springtime in the park and the azaleas are in bloom. This is just one of the beautiful scenes all throughout the Morris Arboretum in Chestnut Hill, PA.

It was a few years ago now that I descended Bryn Arw towards the Skirrid Inn (all near Abergavenny in the Brecon Beacons, Wales). On my descent I passed a gnarled old chestnut tree clinging to its autumn foliage and took a photo. Now I've at last got round to painting the view in oil on a 12x16 inch board.

Walking over tree roots and jumping muddy puddles with the sound of the river fowey rushing beside you. The autumn colours in the trees as well as the oak leaves on the bank. Golitha falls is a beautiful autumn walk.

I was out for a walk in the forest one cold November morning when greeted by this view of the sunlight ahead streaming through the trees and onto the pathway ahead.
