MegaForce is a 1982 action film about an elite multinational military unit that does the jobs that individual governments won't. When the peaceful Republic of Sardun in under threat from their more aggressive neighbor, the beautiful Major Zara and General Byrne-White see the help of Ace Hunter and MegaForce. The movie was chock-full of futuristic military vehicles, weaponry, and enough stunts and explosions to keep any 12-year-old engaged, but sadly, that was about the extent of its reach. Intended to be a huge summer blockbuster, the film was poorly received by critics, bombed at the box office and was nominated for three Raspberries, including Worst Picture.

1990: The Bronx Warriors (Italian: 1990: I guerrieri del Bronx) is a 1982 Italian action-science fiction film. According to the film's advertising, "In the year 1990 the Bronx is officially declared No Man's Land. The authorities give up all attempts to restore law and order. From then on, the area is ruled by the Riders." The plot centers around Ann, a 17-year-old heiress to an arms manufacturing giant, The Manhattan Corporation. Unable to handle inheriting a morally questionable company when she turns 18, Ann runs away into the lawless wasteland of the Bronx. Attacked by a roller skating gang called The Zombies, Ann is saved by members of The Riders, and taken under the protection of The Riders' leader, Trash.

Taxi Driver is a 1976 American film directed by Martin Scorsese, written by Paul Schrader, and starring Robert De Niro, Jodie Foster, Cybill Shepherd, Harvey Keitel, Peter Boyle, Leonard Harris, and Albert Brooks. Set in a decaying and morally bankrupt New York City following the Vietnam War, the film follows Travis Bickle (De Niro), a taxi driver and veteran, and his deteriorating mental state as he works nights in the city. With The Wrong Man (1956) and A Bigger Splash (1973) as inspiration, Scorsese wanted the film to feel like a dream to audiences.

However, many of these vigilantes end up dead, and those who don't are no closer to finding the assailant. When a young paraplegic named Marty encounters a werewolf one night, the pieces begin to come together. Along with his sister and Uncle Red, Marty begins a mission to capture the werewolf once and for all. This is the synopsis of the 1985 film Silver Bullet, which is a rather charming entry into the werewolf genre that seamlessly combines the gory horror of R rated flicks with the fable-esque, childlike sensibility.

Austin Hot Wax 505 is a fictional oldies radio station out of Austin, Texas that made a few appearances in the movie Death Proof. In the film, Jungle Julia Lucai works as a drive time DJ for the station. Julia wears one of the station's t-shirts while hanging at a taco bar, and when Tammy is changing her car radio station, she runs across Austin Hot Wax 505.
