I seem to have made somewhat of a collection within a collection- my 2021 Halloween series now has a few pieces that fall specifically under the 'Aussie Halloween' umbrella. This vicious (very real!) creature is one of these.

Just another bit of fun. Discovered it is not easy to draw with a computer mouse - on needs steady hands. I think my drop bear is rather disgruntled and definitely in need of some grooming.

A lower spotted Australian drop bear. According to the information on the fauna catalogue pages of the Australian Museum, this creature is classified as Thylarctos Plummetus. The legend states that the drop bear will not follow you around to take you down, quite the contrary, as it will leap down from a tree when you least expect it, land on your shoulders and kill you by biting on the neck or cracking the top of your skull using its gigantic fangs. Rest easy; there is no maniacal, huge koala dropping down from trees and devouring unsuspecting tourists.
