Luthen Rael was a human male who lead efforts against the Galactic Empire during the Imperial Era. After being contacted by Bix Caleen, he traveled to the planet Ferrix to meet with Cassian Jeron Andor about the sale of a NS-9 Starpath unit Andor had stolen from the Imperial Naval Base in Steergard. Rael then completely changed his presentation by changing his clothing, adding accessories, and wearing a hairpiece when he traveled to Coruscant. In his gallery on the planet, Rael met with senator Mon Mothma, under the guise that she was buying a gift for her husband.

Narkina 5 was a small water moon with rocky islands, inlets, mesas, lakes and beaches with massive canyons and dry trees orbiting a gas giant. Cassian Andor was sent to the moon's Imperial Prison Complex after being arrested and sentenced on Niamos. Andor and Ruescott Melshi later fled across the moon's surface after the Uprising on Narkina 5. The lakes and rivers of the planet were rich with squigglies whish fishermen from many species including Keredians visited the moon to fish, but by 5 BBY the Prison Complex had irreperably polluted the waters, diminishing the squigglie population and angering the fishermen communities.

Preox-Morlana, also known as the Pre-Mor Authority, was a corporate polity that administered the Free Trade sector in the galaxy. Its main headquarters was based on the planet Morlana One. During the Imperial Era, Preox-Morlana was an affiliate of the Galactic Empire, and enforced the law on areas in its jurisdiction with its military assets. By 5 BBY, the Empire ended corporate independent following an incident on Ferrix.

The Caleen Salyard was a salvage yard run by the family of Bix Caleen on the planet Ferrix. Following the death of her parents, the salvage yard was run by Caleen. Her lover, Timm Karlo, worked alongside her as a floor manager. The Aurebesh lettering on the main building read "SALYARD. ION CONVERSION NODES AND COMPONENTS OF ALL VARIETY." Another building said "CALEEN." Cassian Andor came there to sell an untraceable NS-9 Starpath unit to Caleen, who was also a black market dealer.
