The Angel on the Bridge, Henley, August 2020 The Angel on the Bridge (Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire, England) is apparently one of the most photographed and painted pubs in England, perhaps due to its architecture and its prime riverside location on the River Thames. The inn dates from 1728 and is of course a listed building. Here's my monochrome take on it. Date: 4th August 2020.

An impressionistic view of the Thames as it flows past Remenham in Berkshire, very near Henley-on-Thames. Having crossed the river at Henley we are now on the Berkshire bank walking along the Thames Path - a long distance footpath. Just ahead is Temple Island - the start of the Henley Royal Regatta course which is 1 mile 550 yards long, finishing just downstream of Henley Bridge. Temple Island, is named after its folly, built as a fishing lodge ion 1771 and now used for such things as corporate events. Nikon D7100 Nikkor 18-200

Hambleden Fair, August 2020 Not to be confused with the Hampshire and Surrey villages of Hambledon, this shot shows a row of brick and flint cottages in the village of Hambleden, Buckinghamshire (England). The village is not far from the towns of Marlow, Henley and Wycombe, but its quiet rural setting makes it a popular film location. Date: 4th August 2020.

A coxless pair race past Temple Island at Remenham, Berkshire, very near Henley on Thames. This section of the river is famous for the annual Henley Royal Regatta held in early July. Temple Island is situated between Henley and Hambleden. It dates from 1771 and was designed by the architect James Wyatt as a fishing lodge for a nearby house. It's now owned by Henley Royal Regatta and has been completely restored to its former glory. It marks the start of the regatta course which finishes just below Henley Bridge.
