The Hotel Cecil in Los Angeles, had several nicknames throughout its history: The Cecil, Horror Hotel, Hotel Death, & The Suicide. The hotel has a checkered history, with numerous murders, suicides, unexplained paranormal events and at least two serial killers ( Richard Ramirez, nicknamed the "Night Stalker" and Jack Unterweger) are known to have stayed there as guests. The hotel was renamed Stay On Main as an effort to distance the establishment from its dark past.

The Overlook Hotel is the centerpiece of one of the greatest horror tales of all time, The Shining, by Stephen King. Located in Estes Park, Colorado, high in the Rocky Mountains, it's real life counterpart is where King went to get away from it all, only to be inspired by this remote and magnificent location and his own situation, leading him to pen The Shining. This version of the Overlook Hotel tee features a little subtle aging, but is otherwise near new in appearance.
