New to my Historic Architecture and landmark series. This is Meroogal House, a very important land mark in the Shoalhaven and how resourceful women were thought the generations who lived in this weatherboard house.

October is Danbo's favourite time of year in Brisbane because the jacarandas carpet the entire city in purple.

Purple Jacarandas trees

October is my favourite time of year in Brisbane. Not only is the weather gorgeous without the summer humidity, but it's also the one month where the city turns purple with blooming jacarandas. These trees line many a street in the city, including this bike path at the University of Queensland.
