Silkbind Attacks (MHR or MHRise) are special attacks performed using the Wirebug. Each of the 14 Weapon types have their own unique set of Silkbind Attacks and each Silkbind Attack makes use of the Wirebug gauge to perform a powerful maneuver that can have various special properties such as negating damage or staggers while in motion, or launching the Hunter into the sky to execute a devastating attack from mid-air. Hunters can have 2 Silkbind Attacks active while on hunts. Silkbind attacks go hand-in-hand with the Switch Skills mechanic, allowing a Hunter to customize their loadout with a combination of different skills for a tailored hunting experience.

These people from Kamura Village and Elgado Outpost will assist you during hunts, they use their own mastery weapon and they have their own unique hunting skills and weapon. These characters are powerful partners who hunt together. Participate as a "courage" and enjoy a new hunting experience.

The new land to which you, the player, have been called. It's an outpost built over a ruined fortress to facilitate research into the elder dragon, Malzeno, and other Kingdom monsters. Knights of the Order, researchers, sailors, and hunters all gather here. Across the sea from the capital, it sits beside a massive crater formed long ago when Malzeno appeared.

Volvidon is a medium-sized monster, slightly larger than an Aptonoth. It is covered in a series of red armor plates, which are segmented around the midsection and allow the Volvidon to curl into a ball. It possesses an extremely long, chameleon-like tongue which is covered in sticky saliva. It is capable of spitting out a paralyzing liquid and inflicts Soiling using a foul odor. Being a Fanged Beast, the Volvidon uses attacks similar to those of Arzuros and Lagombi. It is known to pull prey and foes toward its mouth using its long tongue. In addition to aiding transportation, its ability to roll up into a ball allows it to crush foes during combat. It will typically avoid trouble, but if cornered, Volvidon can be surprisingly agg...

Lagombi resembles a mix between a wombat, a bear, and a rabbit. Its ears are long and highly sensitive, and its face features a beak-like mouth along with small red eyes. Lagombi's belly is made of a low-friction material and is shaped so that it can slide upon the ice like a sled. It is covered in a thick fur coat to keep it warm in its sub-zero homeland. Lagombi has superb hearing in order to remain aware of predators. Fortunately for hunters, that also leaves it vulnerable to loud noises, such as Sonic Bombs (similar case with Yian Kut-Ku). Khezu are large, pale Wyverns with a flabby, rubbery hide which they constantly keep damp, similar to that of an amphibian. Many of their blood vessels and veins can be seen through their pale skin. Their tail features a specialized orifice which bonds to the ground during electrical attacks and helps them cling onto cave ceilings. Their mouth features rows of sharp teeth similar to that of leeches. Khezu feet lack claws, and instead have suction pad-like toes to assist them in climbing and hanging from cave walls and ceilings. Spending most of their lives in the dark, their eyes have regressed greatly, though they make up for this with a superb sense of smell. Somnacanth has a very unique physiology. Covering its body are large yellowish scales, transitioning to white on the underside. Its front feet have three digits, each one ending in a long, curved black claw. Its back feet have four digits that end in shorter claws. It has fins on each front leg. It has a short face with a disturbingly humanoid appearance. Above its eyes are a pair of large purple horns, with a pair of smaller knob-like protrusions in front of them. Adorning the side of its head are three pairs of small purple fins, with a massive crest-like fin on the top. Magnamalo is a hulking Fanged Wyvern that bears some resemblance to a tiger. It is primarily clad in purple and yellow plates of armor, with a red underbelly. The head has a short, tigrine snout, holds two foldable tusks under its cheeks, and sports a large pair of jagged yellow horns, just underneath which are its long, thin ears. Both the forelegs and hindlegs end in four-clawed digits, and each foreleg is armed with a single large serrated blade, which is kept folded back, parallel with the leg. Magnamalo's tail ends in a spear-like tip composed of three spikes that can flex outwards to form a trident shape. Hidden within its back are a series of bone blades/spikes that spring out from its hide whenever it becomes enraged.

A monster with a carapace like tempered steel armor. The vapor around it is actually the expelling of trapped gases from the hordes of monsters Magnamalo has consumed. This has earned it the moniker "Wyvern of Malice." Its shrouded swings can inflict hellfireblight, which causes one to combust either spontaneously or when hit. Use a Deodorant or a Wirebug to rid yourself of hellfire.

Rajang is extremely violent, unrelenting and ultra-aggresive, and it's intensely territorial as well. The Rajang's most notable attack is its ability to shoot electricity from its mouth, either as a blast or a beam. They're well known due to their combination of speed, aggression and power. They are also famed for their dramatic Rage Mode, in which much of the fur on their front body rises and becomes gold. Rajang are found in a very wide range and variety of habitats; like the Volcano, Snowy Mountains and the Gorge. They are rarely seen in the wild due to their lonesome nomadic lifestyle.

It has a crown-like crest composed of several finger-like appendages tipped with black spikes as well as a large, spongey yellow mane. The Royal Ludroth has a long, serpentine body with four squat limbs. Its hind pair of legs are shaped like paddles for swimming, and its foremost pair are more muscular, tipped with developed digits ending in long black claws. Its jaws are lined with shear-like plates in the place of teeth. Using its large, absorbent mane, Royal Ludroth can take on gallons of water for use in its many water-based defences. It can produce mucus-based globules that can be spewed at foes, and can force water out of the mane at high speeds, blasting back nearby enemies.
