Mayweed is a native annual or biennial weed of arable or waste land. When the sun goes down the petals all fold neatly down as seen here. Once the sun hits them again in the morning they gradually unfold and look quite similar to the daisy in appearance. You can see a picture taken later in the morning in my Wildflower Collection album. This picture was taken just over an hour later than' Early Morning Mayweed'. You can see the various states of transformation that have happened in that hour and twenty minutes.
