Strike Fighter Squadron 211 (VFA-211), nicknamed the "Fighting Checkmates," is an aviation unit of the United States Navy established in 1945. The squadron is based at Naval Air Station Oceana and operates the F/A-18F Super Hornet.

It is a bliss to be on the ocean shore, enjoy a fruit cocktail, and the relaxing warmth of the bright sun. It immediately melts your mind and body and turns into the very source of joy. New Zealanders are called Kiwis, after the national bird. Kiwi's can be found all over the world and generally are very proud of being a Kiwi. In Kiwi slang when you put 'as' at the end of the phrase it's to emphasis it an make the feeling even stronger.

I had fun working on this artctic based watercolour painting. Given that the penguin itself has quite a simple colour scheme, I wanted a background that would really bring out the figure in a burst of colour.

Carrier Air Wing One (CVW-1) is a United States Navy aircraft carrier air wing based at Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia, with most of its various squadrons also home based at NAS Oceana. Additional squadrons are based at Naval Station Norfolk/Chambers Field, Virginia; Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, South Carolina; Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Washington; and Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida. Carrier Air Wing One is assigned to USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75).
