Abigail Adams was the extraordinary wife of our second President and Founding Father, John Adams, as well as the mother of our sixth President, John Quincy Adams. She is well recognized for the tremendous guidance and advice she gave to her husband during the revolution and during his tenure as both Vice President and President. We are indebted to her for her influence, her strength, and her unfailing devotion to the cause of Liberty.

A portrait of the great Emma Goldman (June 27, 1869 – May 14, 1940), a Russian-born anarchist, political activist, and writer. She was pivotal in developing anarchist political philosophy in North America and Europe in the first half of the 20th century. Goldman was imprisoned several times for "inciting to riot" and illegally distributing information about birth control. In 1906, Goldman founded the anarchist journal Mother Earth.
