Roadway Express, Inc. was founded in Akron, Ohio in December 1930. While Roadway began with an owner-operator model and primarily focused on truckload shipments, but by the mid '40s, it had shifted entirely to company-owned vehicles and mostly to less-than-truckload (LTL) shipping. Roadway became a publicly traded company in 1956, and in subsequent years, it expanded across the United States and by 1982 was operating over 500 terminals nationwide. By 2003, Roadway Express was the largest LTL carrier in the US, and held that title until 2009 when they were purchased by a logistics holding company that would merge Roadway into their operations, ending Roadway's nearly 80 year legacy.

St Mary's Lane in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, with its ancient brick and half timbered houses overhanging the street. Tewkesbury is a beautiful mkedieval town, many of its buildings giving a strong clue as to its age. It was sited at the point where the rivers Severn and Avon meet - a natural and formidable moat! Near this image is the Abbey - in the middle ages the spiritual and commercial centre of the town. In 1471, the Battle of Tewkesbury was a decisive point in the Wars of the Roses. Canon Rebel T3i. The North 6th Street Bridge was built in 1911 and is the only remaining steel truss bridge from that era in Wilmington. It was built to replace the original deteriorating wooden structure spanning the railroad tracks. In 2007 the bridge was renamed in memory of Mr. Harry Forden, a local community activist who strived to revive North 4th Street after the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad left Wilmington. The one-lane bridge crosses the Wilmington and Weldon Railroad Cut. It was historically considered the dividing line between the northern and southern sections of the Port City. The Cape Fear Memorial Bridge is a steel vertical-lift bridge in North Carolina. It carries US 17 Business/US 76/US 421 across the Cape Fear River between Brunswick County and New Hanover County. It is currently the highest bridge in North Carolina and features a lift span that can be raised 135 feet (41 m). The lift span is 408 feet (124 m) long. Thank you for looking at my Photography!!! The road bridge crossing the River Thames at Goring, Oxfordshire. The bridge links Goring with the village of Streatley on Thames on the southern, Berkshire side. This is the view standing on the Thames Path just below the lock, looking under the bridge towards the Goring Gap where the river flows between the Chiltern Hills and the North Wessex Downs.

Hrududu is the Lapine term for anything with an engine or motor. This includes everything from cars on a road to farm tractors. The word "Hrududu" comes from the sound that the motor makes.

Roadway Express, Inc. was an American trucking less than truckload (LTL) trucking company. Roadway Express and its holding company, Roadway Corporation, were acquired by logistics holding company Yellow Corporation in 2003, and the parent companies were merged to form Yellow Roadway Corporation, later renamed YRC Worldwide. In 2009, Roadway Express was merged with YRC's other national LTL carrier, Yellow Freight, to form YRC, Inc.

Narrow streets and alleyways, cars parked on either side of the streets, little shops and stores, bars and restaurants, small churches, all can be found on any of these streets that are full of life and action any time of the day. All images are taken with a Canon 5D III (full frame) and a Canon 7D II (crop frame) using a variety of Canon L-Series lenses, and Tamron and Sigma pro-line lenses; processed in RAW with ACR, PSC, Photomatix, and a variety of other imaging software.
