The road between Seahouses and Bamburgh is bordered to one side by the sea, sand dunes and beaches, on the other side there are fields. On occasions the fields flood and provide ponds for wading birds and for sunset shots for photographers. Here last light is caught as the sun sets and reflects in the pond.

Sunrise over Bamburgh Castle, Northumberland. Once home to the kings of ancient Northumbria, Bamburgh Castle is one of Northumberland's most iconic buildings. The Bamburgh castle we see today is a relatively recent structure, but the castle boasts a much longer history. There have been settlements on the site since prehistoric times

The North East of England has a wonderful coastline, rugged coast, sandy beaches, A walk from Seahouses to Bamburgh takes you along the sandy beach and up into the grass covered sand dunes. Here from probably the highest viewpoint in the dunes the coast is shown with Bamburgh Castle to the left.

Guillemot colony on the Farne Islands - Northumberland, UK. The Farne Islands lie between two and three miles off the Northumberland Coast between Seahouses and Bamburgh. As well as being the most famous Sea Bird Sanctuary in the British Isles they also have a large colony of Atlantic or Grey Seals.
