The toll bridge over the River Thames linking the villages of Pangbourne and Whitchurch on Thames. This view is from Pangbourne Meadows on the south bank looking north to Whitchurch.. The first bridge here was wooden and was constructed in 1792 followed by a further one in 1852. The present bridge is iron and was originally built in 1902. It was recently refurbished in 2013--14. It is one of only two toll bridges remaining over the Thames, the other being at Swinford. Canon Powershot G12
