In art using iconography can be very deceptive without proper knowledge of the artist. If a viewer chooses to only see the surface as it relates to an image than the viewer, at their discretion, can be said to be cheating themselves. An adversary once named can be powerful but also can be controlled. Social presumptions due to previously held connotations can give rise to a revolution towards an idea if an artist is will to risk rejection and degradation until somehow this knew concept takes hold of the popular imagination. That is if the best case scenario occurs.
