The Augustiner Brewery was first mentioned by name in 1328, established within an Augustianian Monastery which had been settled just outside the Munich city walls in an area called Haberfeld (or Haferfeld – "oat field") in 1294. The Monastery complex was the largest sacred building in Munich until the completion of the Frauenkirche cathedral in 1494. The Augustinian monks supplied beer to the Bavarian Royal Wittelsbach family until 1589, at which time the Hofbräu brewery was founded.

Spoetzl Brewery is a brewery located in Shiner, Texas, U.S. It produces a diverse line of Shiner Beers, including their flagship Shiner Bock, a dark lager that is now distributed countrywide. The brewery is owned by the Gambrinus Company, a family-owned company based in San Antonio, which also owns Trumer Brewery in Berkeley, California. The Spoetzl Brewery started in 1909. It was originally named "The Shiner Brewing Association," (SBA) and was founded by German and Czech immigrants who had settled around the central Texas town of Shiner. Unable to find the type of beer they had known in their home countries, they decided to brew their own. It is the oldest independent brewery in Texas and one of the oldest independent breweries in the U.S.

SPG was originally brewed in Bremen, Germany, and was introduced to the U.S. market in 1965. The distinctive label depicting a woman wearing a traditional dirndl was introduced with the advent of bottled beer. The local artist commissioned for the label drew his inspiration from the styles worn by local waitresses at the time which are still worn as traditional folk apparel today. Over the years the label became more stylized (and busty) as SPG became an export-only beer, catering to American consumers. In time, brewing was moved stateside, changing the overall flavor considerably, something that is attributed to no longer sourcing water from the Alps.

Riegele is a traditional German brewery located in Augsburg, Swabia, Bavaria. The Brauhaus Riegele was created in 1884, when Sebastian Riegele Sr. acquired the brewery "Zum Goldenen Ross", which originated in 1386. In 1911, a new building was built outside the city as well as the construction of the "Riegelehaus" on the Königsplatz. At the end of the 1980s, the Brauhaus acquired the name rights for the lactic acid-based lemonade "Chabeso".

Karlsberg is one of the largest breweries in Germany; the Karlsberg Group also owns various other beer brands. It is called Karlsbräu outside of Germany to differentiate it from the Danish brewing company Carlsberg. Established 1878 in the town of Homburg, Saarland (then part of Bavaria), the brewery was named after the nearby hill and castle. Karlsberg's ownership has been handed down through generations. The current owner, Richard Weber, is the great-grandson of the brewery's founder.

The Mount Carbon Brewery was a brewery located at 716 South Centre Street, Pottsville, Pennsylvania, (Actually Mount Carbon, Pennsylvania) and which ran from 1845 to 1976 under various owners and names. Their Motto was "A Mellow Brew from the Mountains".

Rohozec Brewery is located in the village of Malý Rohozec (part of Turnov , Semily district ). Part of the brewery complex is a castle , built in 1640 and rebuilt in 1834 in the pseudo - Renaissance style. The brewery was founded by factory owner Ferdinand Unger in 1850 ; after him it was run by his son and grandson. In 1910, he sold the brewery to the newly established company Společenský pivovar a velkostatek hostinských, sro In 1948 , the brewery was nationalized and became part of Severočeské pivovary, later part of Východočeské pivovary.

Pittsburgh Brewing Company (formerly known as Iron City Brewing Company) is a beer company headquartered in the Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States best known for producing brands such as Iron City Beer, I.C. Light Beer, I.C. Light Mango, Old German, and Block House Brewing. Until August 2009, all production was conducted at its Lawrenceville facility. From August 2009-2021, their products were contract brewed at City Brewing Company in the facility once produced Rolling Rock. On February 4, 2021, Iron City Beer's Instagram account announced that Pittsburgh Brewing Company would resume production of its own product in a new production brewery in Creighton, Pennsylvania.

The Herrenhäuser Brewery (Herrenhäuser Brauerei) was founded in 1868 in the Herrenhausen district of Hannover, Germany. There are number of breweries in Hannover, e.g. Gilde brewery was founded about 300 years earlier. Herrenhäuser introduced the first kosher pilsener beer to the European market called Herrenhäuser Kosher. The company was originally established under the name Brauerei Wölfler & Wedekind Herrenhausen.

Rheingold Brewery was a New York state brewery which sold Rheingold Beer from 1883, holding 35 percent of the state's beer market at its peak. The company was sold by the founding Jewish American Liebmann family in 1963. According to The New York Times, "Rheingold Beer was once a top New York brew guzzled regularly by a loyal cadre of workingmen who would just as soon have eaten nails as drink another beer maker's suds." In 1966 it introduced Gablinger's Beer, one of the first reduced calorie beers, which was brewed using a process originated by chemist Dr. Hersch Gablinger of Basel, Switzerland.

NEEDLESS TO SAY THIS BEER WAS POPULAR IN THE REGION. AFTER THE ONSET OF WWI THE NAME WAS CHANGED TO CASTLE BREW AND BREWED IN MASS UNTIL PROHIBITION CLOSED THE BREWERY.

Jever is a German beer brand, named after the town of Jever where it is brewed. It has been brewed by the "Friesisches Brauhaus zu Jever" (the Jever Frisian Brewery) since 1848. When the "Friesisches Brauhaus zu Jever" was founded by Diedrich König in 1848, it was only one of several breweries in the region. König, however, was convinced from the beginning that his beer was something special. After his death in 1867, his son sold the brewery. Theodor Fetköter took over the brewery. He began by developing the small family business into a large brewery operation, started to advertise and developed special bottles. In 1848, he played an important part in installing the first water supply system in Jever.

Sometimes a large number of breweries can lead to an active collecting community that will be willing to pay more for breweriana items than other collectors.
