Kirkwall is the largest town in Orkney and the harbour supports a number of fishing boats and tourist vessels. More recently Kirkwall harbour has been welcoming a growing number of cruise ships. The town of Kirkwall has a long history and was formerly the site of an ancient Norse town founded approximately 1000 years ago.

This design is inspired by the our favorite disaster, Hawke! I designed this with my favorite battle dialogue when Hawke is low on health because it's a great summary of the whole game, complete with the Kirkwall emblem.

At one point in the Christmas Day 2007 Kirkwall Ba game the action moved to the rooftops! Luckily nobody was injured.... The Ba is played every Christmas and New Year's Day in Kirkwall, Orkney. It's a kind of traditional game of mass football, played in the streets of the town between the Uppies and the Doonies. Throw-up is from the Merkat Cross in front of St Magnus Cathedral at 1pm, and the game often takes several hours to reach a conclusion.
