This donkey orchid, is a species of orchid which is endemic to South Australia. Image taken on Magpie Springs by Avril Thomas. Magpie Springs is in the Southern Adelaide Hills on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

Leopard Orchids (Diuris Pardina) don't usually flower until mid October, but this one was in a hurry - I took its photo in mid September!. Taken at Baluk Willam Reserve in Victoria.

This is one of Australia's favourite flowers - native to Western Australia - they can be seen in gardens, parks and nature strips all over Australia. Its popular name is Bottlebrush - for obvious reasons - proper name is Callistemon.

In spring these tiny wild orchards come into flower. Sometimes I am lucky enough to spot one while walking my dog in the bush.

While I was photographing the Tongue Orchids I noticed the pattern these native grasses were making nearby. Couldn't waste the opportunity! I'm not sure what species of grass this is - but it was in the middle of a nature reserve - so I'm confident it is native.

Love Creeper ( Comesperma Volubile) gets its name from its habit of closely hugging the trees and shrubs it climbs over. These pretty, but tiny, blue flowers are common in Spring in the woodlands of Southern Australia. Found at Baluk Willam Reserve in Belgrave South, Victoria, Australia.

I always find ferns a difficult subject - long and narrow. This Fishbone Water Fern (Blechnum Nudum) stood up straight and presented itself for a photo! Found this one in Ferntree Gully National Park in Victoria, Australia, but they are quite common in damp woodlands.

The beautiful native of Australia is the Hakea, with its pin cushion flowers. I set these on an antique plate to bring out their beauty even more so.

An Australian Native shrub that grows freely in the lighter soils. this one coming from the Little Desert NP in Victoria. A long-lasting flower that dries extremely well

By using up to 9 different images and blending these together I was able to give this flower a different perspective. Making it more 'art ' like I hope.
