The following are a series of images of the circuit board of one my synthesizers - it is the vintage Roland JD-800 (I call this one The Mothership), one of about 14 different synthesizers, organs and pianos I have in my music studio. I usually like to take these things apart and marvel at the science behind making these intricate sounds that you hear in the 60's, 70's and 80's music. What I like about this specific machine is its ability to program sounds in analogue and transform/save the results in digital. Truly a versatile stage keyboard.
