The 80s aesthetic is vividly reflected in the character designs and animation style of Inhumanoids. The protagonists, reminiscent of the era's action figures, don colorful and bold costumes, while the villains, the grotesque Inhumanoids, embody the nightmarish and otherworldly aspects that characterized 80s horror and fantasy genres.

Jack Roy (born Jacob Rodney Cohen, November 22, 1921 – October 5, 2004), popularly known by the stage name Rodney Dangerfield was an American stand-up comedian, actor, voice artist, producer, screenwriter, musician and author. He was known for his self-deprecating one-liners humor, his catchphrase "I don't get no respect!" and his monologues on that theme. His breakout film role came in 1980 as a boorish nouveau riche golfer in the ensemble comedy Caddyshack, which was followed by two more successful films: 1983's Easy Money and 1986's Back to School, and with a rare dramatic role in 1994's Natural Born Killers as an abusive father.

Master of Disguise

Popples were plush toys manufactured between 1986 and 1988. Each toy had a pouch on the back that could be inverted, so the character rolled into the pouch and resembled a brightly colored ball. Popples resembled colorful animals with long, pompom-tipped tails. The name "Popple" is a reference to the popping sound they make when unfolding themselves from such a ball, or pulling objects from their pouches. In the cartoon series of the same name, Popples commonly pulled large items from their pouches that could not possibly fit inside. In the "Popples Alley" episode, one of the Popples' human friends looks inside one of their pouches and sees numerous objects floating in a large void.
