As the sun sets on Lake Washington, most people start heading home and ducks find their resting spots for the night. The industrious sand castle builder, though, stayed late to enjoy the sunset and keep building his sand castle and sand fort. A few ducks still linger in the last few rays of the sun.

From my original colored pencil illustration. Inspired by that moment in childhood, when you first return home from your trick or treating and you finally get to enjoy your bounty of candy.
