A small group of wild geese resting on Holywell Pond in Northumberland. The pond is run by Northumberland Wildlife Trust and sees many wild birds at different times of the year. This particular group consists of mainly Greylag Geese with a couple of Canada Geese seemingly lost in the middle.

A few Greylag Geese in flight near Holywell Pond in Northumberland. These geese were part of a very large flock near the pond which is maintained by The Northumberland Wildlife Trust.

Canon Rebel T3i Greylag Goose is an Old World Goose species belonging to the Anser genus. The name is spelled as Graylag Goose in the US. It is the only wild Goose species that can be seen throughout the year in the United States.Their name “Greylag” is derived from the fact that they are the last Goose species to migrate and each year they “lag” behind the other Geese.
