Home of Glass art, show off you have been to Murano Island in Venice, Italy!

Just got back from a short break to Venice, and although it rained most of the time it is a beautiful city in any weather. This is Murano, one of the nearby islands , famous for it's glass blowing artists. I took the image from one of the many bridges, just after sunset and edited it in Photoshop cc and Topaz FX.

The beautiful Venetian island of Murano at twilight when the street lights come on and create lovely reflections in the canals. I wanted to create a painterly effect for this image as to me it was more an artist's impression than a photograph. Edited in Photoshop and Topaz Studio.

Lovely view of Murano

This is one of Venices satellite islands, a short boat trip from the city itself and an ideal place to stay when visiting as it is a bit quieter in the busy tourist season. It is very similar to Venice as it is built around canals and has many historic buildings and it is world famous for the coloured glass it produces in the many glass blowing furnaces on the island. This photo was taken just after sunset and you can see a couple of people making their way home in their boat. Edited in Photoshop CC and Topaz.
