A picture taken of Buxton Pavilion Gardens, in the heart of the peak district, in central England. It's a beautiful botanical garden that is well worth the trip in summer. Buxton is famous for its natural springs and fresh water, as well as its historic setting in the centre of the national park.

It was late afternoon when we got to the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh. We were almost the last to gain entrance that day, but it meant that we pretty much had the place to ourselves. We hired a guide to swiftly show us around before they closed the gates, who, recognising my love of photography, took us to the best spots. This image is of the Moonlight Pavilion (Preah Tineang Chan Chhaya), which is used for traditional dance ceremonies and banquets. What I love about this image is the remarkable architectural whimsy in the roof of the pavilion. The multi-tiered roof, the spire, the ornate and colourful roofing, and the wispy upturned pieces at the end of the roof gables, which we were told were there to represent snakes.
